Privacy
calrn is in its alpha / pilot stage. We're piloting with a small number of nursing units, and this notice describes what the product collects and does with information today. It will grow into a full privacy policy as calrn moves toward general availability; if anything here matters to your unit, email contact@loosegoosesystems.com.
Each organization owns its own data
Every organization's information is held in its own per-tenant database (database-per-tenant isolation). One unit's data is never mixed with another's, and one organization can never see another's people or schedules.
What we collect today
To run a unit's schedule, calrn stores:
- Staff records — names, the classification traits that shape a fair schedule (licenses, competencies, role stance, FTE and weekend-rotation status, orientee-to-preceptor links), and the role each person plays on the unit.
- Schedule information — shift requests (on, off, and PTO preferences), generated and posted schedules, and the fairness ledger that tracks who has carried the harder shifts over time.
- Account information — the credentials used to sign in (administrator and staff logins, and any shared unit login a pilot enables). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in the clear.
Connected services
calrn only shares information with an outside service when a user chooses to connect one. Today that means Google Calendar: when a staff member connects their calendar, calrn writes their posted shifts into it so the schedule shows up alongside the rest of their day. We request only the access needed to manage the calendar entries calrn creates, and a user can disconnect at any time. As we add more integrations (other personal calendars and administrator tools), each will work the same way — connected only when someone opts in.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the scheduling service for your unit — building schedules, tracking fairness, and signing people in. During the pilot we may look at de-identified, aggregate usage to improve the product. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
